Why Not Fill Out Your Profile?

I just joined this network, and as soon as I scrolled down through the members, I was struck by the number of people who haven't put a photo or even any basic information on their profiles. Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of a social network? Hey, I don't want your social security number (and I won't give you mine), but it would be nice to know where you're from. Gee, maybe I'd find folks in my neighborhood who'd like to share a river trip someday.

I think folks sometimes sign up so that they can access the interior pages... you have to be a member to see any page other than the home. So, they sign up without putting information in and don't ever come back. If it gets real bad I will start deleting the old unused accounts.

This is the season for people to start thinking seriously about their summer rafting plans, whether guides or privates. I'd like to see a bunch of new serious rafters show up and start making something happen here.
