Teaching tele has taken up most of my "off-seasons" (though I have to supplement that with alpine for the $$$). Fish, bike and hike in the fall shoulder season, and lately I've taken up disc golf. Seems the snow hasn't come off the peaks when we'r...

Good idea Beau... A lot of organizations won't take food donations if the stuff has already been opened. For instance, there are 20 jars of peanut butter in the fridge that can't be given away to these orgs because the lids have been popped. Musta...

Will, how's it going? It's been a dry summer for me. Hey, is there still the chance of a Grand trip this year? I may be interested. I got my hands on a raft that could go.

It was a fun and exciting trip. Notice that my friends showed up with a bike helmet and a 70's petzel climbing helmet. Sweet. They were a little unprepared, but everything worked out in the end.

Actually there was! The hole at the bottom of the Green Wall was huge at the flow we were at last weekend. Most of us tried to go left of the big hole which worked. About half the boats that hit the hole were either kicked out of the raft or flipped including one from our party.

We had been planning on staying at the camp directly below the Green Wall on south side of the river and since there were a ton of people behind us we camped there to watch everyone go through. Turns out that a buddy of mine and i were hanging out at the bottom of the green wall with throw ropes pulling either rafts in or people.

P.S. Last weekend there was the most amount of people i've ever seen on the river in the past few years i've been rafting. i think i counted around 10 parties on the river.

Will,

So, sounds like a couple rafts hit up Robe Canyon this weekend. Here is the link with a report.

The Wind River Race was great!!!. I, on the other hand was sick but still raced. I'm paying the price for that. Haven't gotten out of my PJs for two days. I'd do it again though. How's the webpage coming? Sorry I couldn't attend meeting.
